Drawer dividers, partitions, and plastic boxes: how to think about layout

Every Lista drawer has slots in the sidewalls that accept aluminum dividers. Slotted partitions run perpendicular to the dividers, creating an X-Y grid. Inside that grid, you can either store parts directly in the metal compartments, or drop in red plastic boxes to create movable, stackable sub-compartments that travel with the parts.

Divider height needs to match drawer depth: a 75mm drawer takes 2 in dividers; a 300mm drawer takes 11 in dividers. Match the height first, then pick the length based on how you want to divide the drawer.

Three layout patterns cover most cases:

• Loose-parts grid. Aluminum dividers and partitions create a compartment grid. Parts sit directly on the drawer floor. Highest density for fasteners, fittings, and small machined parts.
• Plastic-box grid. Same divider grid, but each compartment holds a removable red plastic box. The box travels to the work: good for kits, sub-assemblies, or shared parts.
• Mixed. Half the drawer is loose-parts grid for high-turnover items; the other half is plastic boxes for kits.

Boxes come in two main sizes (PB-8 and PB-24), and each accepts an internal divider if you want to split the box into halves.
