Lista cabinets for the North American market are built by Lista International Corporation in Holliston, Massachusetts, which is part of Stanley Black & Decker, and sold through a network of authorized dealers rather than direct.
That one sentence answers most of what people are actually asking. The rest of this page covers the parts that trip people up: why searching for Lista sometimes lands you somewhere that will not sell to you, how Lista and Vidmar are related, and why there is no way to buy a cabinet from the factory.
The corporate picture
Stanley Black & Decker announced the acquisition of Lista North America in January 2012. Stanley already owned Vidmar, the Allentown, Pennsylvania storage brand, so the deal put two of the three big American modular drawer cabinet names under one roof. Both brands kept their names, their factories, and their separate product lines, and they still run that way today.
Today the storage brands sit together under Stanley Black & Decker's storage group, alongside CribMaster. If you have looked for a Lista website recently and ended up at a Stanley Black & Decker page, that is why: the old listaintl.com and stanleyvidmar.com addresses now redirect there.
Why you may have landed on a site that will not sell to you
There is more than one Lista organization in the world, and the European one has the more obvious domain. People searching for a cabinet frequently land on a European Lista site, page through a configurator, and then discover the product and pricing do not apply to the United States.
For a cabinet delivered in the US, the manufacturer is Lista International Corporation and the route is an authorized North American dealer. If a site quotes you in euros or francs, or its configurator produces part numbers that no US dealer recognizes, that is the wrong Lista for your purposes.
Lista and Vidmar are not the same cabinet
This causes more expensive mistakes than any other point of confusion. Same corporate parent, two genuinely different products:
| Lista | Vidmar | |
|---|---|---|
| Built in | Holliston, Massachusetts | Allentown, Pennsylvania |
| Parent | Stanley Black & Decker | Stanley Black & Decker |
| Housings and drawers | Different sizes. Parts do not swap between the brands. | |
| Locks and keys | Different systems. A Lista core does not fit a Vidmar and the reverse. | |
People use the two names interchangeably in classified listings and forum posts, so if you are buying used, trust the badge on the cabinet rather than the words in the ad. Which one to choose for a new purchase is covered in Lista or Vidmar, how to choose, and how both compare against Rousseau and Lyon is in the four brand comparison.
Why there is no factory direct option
Lista sells through authorized dealers. That is a deliberate channel structure, not an oversight, and it means every path to owning a new Lista goes through a dealer. What the dealer does is configure the cabinet, price it, handle freight, and stand behind the order; what the factory does is build it and ship it.
The practical consequences for a buyer:
- There is no public price list. Nobody publishes one, which is why most Lista pages online end in a quote request rather than a price. We publish delivered prices on the cabinets we stock, which is unusual and deliberate.
- Dealers are not all the same. Authorization is the baseline. What differs is whether they will spec a room with you, whether they answer after the sale, and whether they will sell you a single lock core for a cabinet you bought from someone else.
- Delivered price is the number that matters. Freight on a loaded steel cabinet is not a rounding error. Compare delivered, not list.
Where we fit
Delta Industrial Storage is an authorized Lista dealer, operating as Charlie One LLC out of Texas. We sell new Lista cabinets, workbenches, and accessories, shipped factory direct to the contiguous 48 with freight included, and we match any authorized Lista dealer's delivered price.
We also sell replacement lock cores and parts to people who did not buy their cabinet from us, which is most of the people who need them. If you have a cabinet with no keys, or you are trying to work out what you own, that is the lock cores page and what Lista cabinet do I have.

Are Lista cabinets made in the USA?
